GNRC follows the protocol of “Promptness, Appropriateness and Empathy” in caring the patients of Accident & Emergency. As soon as the patient arrives at the door of Emergency, the security personnel engaged in the duty alerts the Accident & Emergency staff by buzzing a calling bell. On hearing the alarm, one Doctor on duty with two Paramedics proceeds to the ‘Triage’ area. They perform the ‘Triage’ and categorize and prioritize the patients based on their severities into P1 (Red-Immediate intervention required), P2 (Yellow-Major, but can wait up to 15 Minutes), P3 (Green-Minor, can wait up to half an hour) and Black or Dead. After completion of Triaging, the patients are shifted to the appropriate examination bed in the Accident & Emergency ward as quickly as possible.

Free Ambulance Services
GNRC Hospital has a fleet of FREE ambulances for people in need at the of any medical emergency.  We run state-of-the-art ambulances, which have an inbuilt ICU service with a transport ventilator, emergency drugs, oxygen facility, and necessary equipment. It is being managed by ACLS-trained paramedics.

Triage
The triage is an area where the patients are segregated based on the severity of the emergency and thereafter directed to appropriate areas of care. A triage is staffed by a resident in the emergency medicine along with a paramedic and a staff nurse who are trained adequately.
